We are seeking a motivated & energetic candidate to join our team and growing company. Our concept is 100% organic Farm to Table Menu. Are you a team player who is highly organised, Reliable and able to efficiently wash and prepare a workstation? Can you skin, slice, chop, and season ingredients to a high standard? If these are skills you hold, we want to hear from you at Urban Fraiche. We are looking to add a talented Line Cook to our dedicated kitchen team. You’ll be working with our extremely skilled Head and Sous Chef to begin preparing dishes and ensuring all orders are able to be served to our customers on time, at the high quality they expect. You’ll also work closely with our waiters and waitresses to ensure any food allergies, intolerances, and other changes are taken into account when preparing ingredients. Duties: • Clean and sanitise kitchen stations ready for food preparation. • Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment and tools. • Gather and clean ingredients. • Peel, chop, dice, slice, and otherwise prepare ingredients. • Tenderise or marinade meat. • Prepare sauces. • Follow instructions from the Sous Chef. • Note any needed stock ready for ordering. • Store any leftover ingredients in the correct fashion. • Ensure all food standards and safety procedures are followed. Requirements: Minimum of one year of experience working as a Line Cook in a high-volume, fine-dining restaurant Great communication and time management skills Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift items up to 40 lbs. regularly Outstanding knife skills
