Applicants must meet the following requirements: * is comfortable talking to customers * able to multitask with attention to detail * is comfortable with knives and equipment * has prior kitchen experience or knowledge * can stand for extended periods of time * has/ can obtain a food handlers card * has open availability or the ability to work 40 hours a week Duties include: * Whole animal butchery * Sausage stuffing * Meat grinding * Smoking * Dehydrating meats * Slicing * Talking to customers and ringing them up * Opening and closing the front of house Pay is negotiable and depending on experience. J&J Java is now hiring! We are a coffee roasting company with a coffee shop located on Lane Community College main campus. We prioritize crafting quality drinks while fostering relationships with our customers. We are looking for someone who loves coffee, likes working with others, and enjoys chatting and connecting with customers. We are willing to train, so even if you do not have any experience steaming milk but love people, you may be the personality we are looking for. Due to the nature of our location on a college campus, we unfortunately cannot offer work for the summer months (mid June to late September), so this job is a seasonal offering. We follow LCC’s academic calendar, which means most holidays are off as well as breaks between terms (such as spring break, winter break). We need someone available Mondays-Thursdays from 7:00am to 1:30pm. Job duties for the most part will include fostering quality interactions with customers, crafting beverages and taking care to do it well, keeping a clean work area, some food prep and presentation, and about 30min-1hr of dishes daily.
