Barista / Cashier – Must Speak Fluent English (Downtown Area)

We are looking for Cooks in the SF area for client events. These positions are full-time and the schedule is M-F all day shifts. These positions are on corporate campuses - NOT restaurants. The shift may have you start at one location and and go to another. Prep Cook - This position is responsible for preparing food items and serving customers while adhering to health and safety regulations. This role requires strong culinary skills, a focus on quality and efficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Shift Lead at TA Travel Center plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the store during assigned shifts. This position supervises staff, provides exceptional customer service, and maintains the store's operational standards. The Shift Lead will be responsible for training team members, managing inventory, processing cash transactions, and fostering a positive working environment. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent is required. 1-2 years of experience in retail or customer service, with prior supervisory experience preferred. Strong leadership capabilities with effective team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to resolve customer complaints and provide effective solutions. Familiarity with cash handling and point-of-sale systems. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds. Capable of performing physical tasks such as stocking shelves and moving merchandise.

Key Responsibilities: 1. Customer Service: Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner. Take food and beverage orders, accurately enter them into the system, and ensure customer needs are met. Assist customers in selecting menu items, offering suggestions, and answering questions about the menu. Ensure customers receive their orders promptly and with the highest quality of service. Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and escalate issues to management if needed. 2. Food Preparation: Prepare food and beverages according to Miss J’s Café standards, including sandwiches, salads, soups, and other menu items. Operate kitchen equipment, including grills, ovens, blenders, and toasters, safely and efficiently. Maintain proper food storage and organization in accordance with food safety regulations. Ensure all food items are fresh, properly portioned, and meet café quality standards. 3. Cleanliness and Sanitation: Keep the dining area, kitchen, and prep areas clean, organized, and sanitized throughout your shift. Regularly clean and disinfect surfaces, equipment, and restrooms to maintain a clean and safe environment. Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper handwashing, food handling, and cleaning procedures. 4. Cash Handling and Register: Operate the cash register and process customer payments accurately. Provide change, issue receipts, and assist with any other payment-related tasks. Maintain a balanced cash drawer by following cash handling procedures. 5. Inventory and Stocking: Assist in maintaining inventory levels, ensuring food supplies are stocked and readily available.
