The cook is limited in scope of responsibility when compared to the kitchen operation as a whole. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Prepare and cook a variety of meats, seafood, poultry and vegetables using a variety of kitchen equipment and techniques. - Know and comply consistently with portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures. - Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service for our guests. - Maintain a clean and sanitary work station. - Collaborate with other kitchen staff and management to maintain effective product flow. - Handle, store, and rotate all products properly. - Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed. - Opens and closes the kitchen stations properly, assists others and following checklists. - Understands and follows proper rules of hygiene and food safety measures.
