Description

As a full-time member of the Engineering Team at our South Burlington, Vermont location, you’ll engage in creative design and problem solving every day. You’ll work as part of a global team to create new products, ideate and drive continuous improvement, identify root cause of failures, engage on customer projects, and more!  You have proven experience leading mechanical designs from concept to production and an ability to prioritize and execute with the support of your team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for: Working with computer hardware and chassis designs, creating and modifying design files and drawings in Solidworks. Leveraging our global test and lab capabilities to validate product designs. Coordinating with manufacturers and suppliers to inform and support your work. Leading and engaging in design reviews and providing product development inputs. Helping to create and maintain project schedules and documentation. Collaborating cross-functionally to solve highly technical challenges in the computer, mechanical, electrical, and/or software engineering disciplines. Using your analytical mindset and problem solving skills to identify system- and component-level root cause(s) to complex problems. You do this through hands-on debug, collaboration, and thorough engineering analysis. Championing an organized approach to work and workspaces with a strong sense of personal responsibility, holding yourself and others accountable. Prioritizing project activities in alignment with company goals and holding team members accountable. Leveraging your ability to quickly and efficiently learn new processes and technologies. Requirements You have a minimum of 5 years of experience integrating high-performance electrical and mechanical components into reliable systems and debugging when things go wrong. You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering; or years of relevant work experience in a technical environment. You can speak to your success working across teams in a matrixed environment through problem solving and personal leadership. You bring a natural curiosity and the ability to conceptualize, analyze, and plan projects. You demonstrate sound engineering judgment and possess the ability to reconcile multiple points of view, concepts, and requirements when designing Corrective Actions and other solutions. Key Duties and Responsibilities: General Operations Support production staff when technical issues arise, perform root-cause analysis on said issues, and implement quality solutions in a timely manner. Research, build business case, and implement capital expenditures to improve operational efficiencies in a manufacturing environment. Develop and recommend new processes and technologies to improve product quality and cost-effectiveness. Follow established manufacturing techniques and operating equipment specifications, identifying process improvements and resolution to issues where possible. Participate in providing technical direction, training, and certification for operators performing detailed process steps to ensure that production assemblers, testers, inspectors, and support staff have necessary skills, appropriate documentation, tooling, and process control capability. Participate in the qualification and development of suppliers for components, sub-assemblies, and processes. Implement design and development activities related to operations assessment, process development, and product validation. Senior Systems Engineer
The Sr. Systems Engineer's primary role will involve the development of electro-mechanical systems, system architecture, and the accompanying documentation in accordance with established quality system procedures.
