High Desert Property Management is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Property Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure our properties are well-maintained, financially successful, and provide a positive experience for tenants. About the Position We are seeking a professional and reliable Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential properties. This role is responsible for maintaining high standards of property performance, ensuring tenant satisfaction, and supporting ownership goals through effective financial and operational management. Key Responsibilities • Serve as the primary contact for tenants, handling inquiries, service requests, and lease compliance. • Manage leasing activities, including marketing, applicant screening, lease execution, and move-in/move-out coordination. • Oversee property maintenance by scheduling and supervising vendors and contractors. • Conduct routine property inspections to ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards are met. • Collect rent, manage delinquencies, and maintain accurate tenant ledgers. • Prepare and manage property budgets, track expenses, and provide ownership with financial reporting. • Ensure compliance with landlord-tenant laws, fair housing regulations, and company policies. • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with tenants, vendors, and ownership. Qualifications • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal. • Strong attention to detail with the ability to listen and follow directions. • Professionalism, diplomacy, and confidentiality in handling sensitive matters. • Ability to foster positive tenant relations and resolve issues effectively. • Basic computer skills required; working knowledge of Microsoft Word and AppFolio preferred (but not required). • Basic accounting knowledge for rent collection and financial reporting. • Must have reliable transportation, a valid Driver’s License, and proof of insurance. • Flexible schedule to accommodate property assessments and showings. • Must be able to pass a background check. • Previous property management or related experience preferred. • Degree in business, real estate, or related field is a plus. Willingness to obtain Oregon property management license within 30-60 days of employment.
