Is there anyone out there really trying to build a homestead (Slidell)

I am totally interested in trying to get some property, and build a good solid community homestead I don't have a lot of money but if there's anyone out there that is interested in doing it together and putting our funds together to basically get out of the rat race. It doesn't have to be in the state of Louisiana I'm just posting here because that's where I currently stay please if you're serious please send me a message.
