About Us: David King and Co. is an established 50-year-old luggage and travel accessories company seeking a motivated individual to join our team in multiple aspects of business operations. Location: Allston, MA (convenient to public transportation/T access) Position Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to handle various administrative and bookkeeping responsibilities. This is not an accountant position but requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively. Primary Responsibilities Bookkeeping (Most Important): Proficiency with QuickBooks required Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) management Invoice preparation and processing Bill payment and wire transfers Generate balance sheets and P&L reports Administrative Duties: Answer phones professionally Learn about customers and maintain relationships Handle shipping via UPS and FedEx Receive and manage inventory General troubleshooting and problem-solving Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of relevant experience Strong computer literacy Experience working with small companies preferred Hands-on approach and willingness to multitask Professional phone manner Preferred Qualifications Internet marketing knowledge and online advertising experience Familiarity with shipping systems and inventory management Position Details Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (no weekends) Hours: Part-time, approximately 3-4 days per week to start Compensation: $30.00 per hour Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor Application Requirements Please submit your resume along with 3 professional references (at least 2 must be from former supervisors).
