Chernoff Newman is an integrated communications agency with offices in Charlotte, Columbia, Charleston, and Orlando. We serve clients across the country, with a focus in the Southeast. We specialize in the retail, government, healthcare, education and workforce development, food and beverage and financial sectors, among others.  Chernoff Newman is seeking a Senior Account Executive to lead client relationships, drive account growth, and develop new business opportunities for the agency.  The ideal candidate is someone with strong connections in the state of Florida, who is eager to manage high-level client engagements. As Chernoff Newman expands its presence in Florida, the right candidate will be empowered to build a team and lead the growth of the firm’s southern frontier.   Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service, strategic guidance, and results-driven execution Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and lead new business development efforts Drive efforts to secure new clients, including developing proposals, pitch presentations, and networking Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders in the state of Florida, including state agencies, policymakers, the business community, industry leaders (i.e., higher education, healthcare, agriculture, workforce development), media contacts, and advocacy groups to expand the firm’s influence and network Pursue expert-level knowledge of the service offerings Chernoff Newman provides and be able to discuss solutions to clients’ challenges Stay informed on policy trends, industry shifts, and emerging issues to proactively advise clients Expand the Florida-based team as Chernoff Newman gains traction with new clients Requirements 10+ years of experience in a business development role; background in communications, marketing, public relations, government, or public service is preferred Bachelor’s degree or higher in public affairs, communications, marketing or a related field Strong ability to build networks and forge new relationships Conscientious of details; follows up with clients and prospects in a timely manner Understanding of the business and political landscape of Florida, particularly the greater Orlando area, is preferred Proven experience managing multiple accounts successfully Entrepreneurial mindset; eager to grow the firm in new areas Requirements 10+ years of experience in a business development role; background in communications, marketing, public relations, government, or public service is preferred Bachelor’s degree or higher in public affairs, communications, marketing or a related field Strong ability to build networks and forge new relationships Conscientious of details; follows up with clients and prospects in a timely manner Understanding of the business and political landscape of Florida, particularly the greater Orlando area, is preferred Proven experience managing multiple accounts successfully Entrepreneurial mindset; eager to grow the firm in new areas Benefits Group Health Insurance (Medical, Dental & Vision) 401k Matching Plan Flexible PTO + Holidays Paid Parental Leave Employee Assistance Program Training + development opportunities Life insurance (100% company paid) Short-Term + Long-Term Disability (100% company paid) Company Values Enduring: We are long-time trusted advisors and leaders in the communities where we live and work. Your job will consist of contacting incoming leads, qualifying to see if they are credit worthy, presenting the lease benefits after the FTC expires, conducting a site visit using SiteCapture software, working with our team to produce an accurate lease quote, presenting the lease quote to the homeowner via a Teams meeting with a senior company manager, completing any follow up SiteCapture items, checking in with the homeowner during the installation to ensure a five star experience, standing for inspections if the installation team is complete, following up with the client to ensure a five star experience, generating new referral leads from your happy clients. You are required to keep the CRM updated realtime, work with various quote tools, and interact with our solar manager, construction operations team and front office to ensure a smooth customer experience. This is a full time salary sales position with an in office work station with a base salary of twice minimum wage. Expected sales to maintain the position is 20X base salary after three months. You are paid a monthly bonus of 1% of sales if you exceed the 20X base. Historically a good sales rep will sell at least $200K per month, resulting in at least a $2K per month bonus.
