Summary: Maintain facility equipment including ammonia refrigeration system, air compressors, electrical systems, and piping. Direct and track contractor needs, and activities as directed by management. Perform all tasks in a safe and timely manner to ensure achievement of Quality, Service, and Cost objectives. Comply with all standard operating procedures and requirements under guidelines, and with all regulations (local to federal). Requirements Minimum Job Requirements: Must have a minimum of a high school diploma/GED equivalency. Minimum of 5 years industrial ammonia refrigeration experience in operating and troubleshooting. Preferred also to have 2 years maintenance experience, air compressors, electrical systems (up to 460 V) Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics. Ability to recognize defective parts and to distinguish machine sounds, to detect potential mechanical issues. Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, to work on elevated surfaces and work in extreme temperatures and noise levels. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand instructions given in English. Required to work holidays as needed. Required to work facility shutdowns. Ability to work eight-hour shifts, 12-hour shifts, day or night shift, or other work schedules as determined by business need, including overtime as required. Essential Duties: Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot ammonia refrigeration system. Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot facility compressed air systems. Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot facility ventilation fans. Use computer and associated software to operate facility utility equipment. Restore plant utilities, to include up to 460 VAC power distribution systems, after power outages. Using CMMS program to accurately complete preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and projects. Working with warehouse leaders to improve efficiency of equipment. Reporting to Regional Maintenance Manager on the completion of any assigned tasks. Maintains good housekeeping practices in the shop and equipment room. Walking entirety of roof inspecting equipment and investigating for leaks as scheduled. Assisting with repairs and maintenance to facility building. Independently perform recurring work on exhaust fans, boilers, air handlers, pump, motors, air dryers, and other related HVAC equipment but not limited to HVAC control and monitoring systems. Installs, modifies, overhauls, repairs, and maintains a variety of complex HVAC equipment air conditioning, air handlers, pumps, motors, valves, heating systems, and associated auxiliary and control equipment. Works with engineering or scientific personnel to discuss plans, modifications, and user needs. Reviews available plans, specifications, or drawings; determines the size, shape, and location of equipment. Performs design, modification, maintenance and repair of critical environmental and energy support systems and associated highly sensitive state-of-the-art computerized controls and air quality monitoring systems located within US-Only areas of Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs). Provides critical advanced technical knowledge in support of unique security requirements inherent in Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) operations including sound baffling techniques/equipment and the resolution of compromising electrical currents, as sustainment of high system availability rates. Produces classified technical documentation outlining in depth technical findings and recommendations. Provides design, emergency non-routine fault isolation of smoke removal systems, fire detection/suppression equipment used exclusively in critical, highly sensitive Military Forces installations. Performs system and subsystem diagnostics and scheduling and maintaining complex electronic environmental systems, calibration, and lubrication of unique components and controls used to provide and monitor precise environmental conditions within SCIFs housing unique military intelligence equipment, scientific devices, and technologies. Performs periodic, worldwide deployments in strategic and tactical mobile facility environments. Provides expert technical assistance for a 24-hour operational environment with limited documentation resources. Responds to off-duty (evening and weekend) calls to support critical system outages and to provide rapid fault isolation and resolution concerning environmental factors affecting ISR system performance to include developing technical documentation for ISR support system layouts. Supports US Army systems on site whenever and wherever deployed. Available to deploy to other countries and/or theaters to perform quick reaction technical support to US forces worldwide military contingency missions and requirements in potentially hazardous work environments. Requirements Clearance Requirements: Current/Active TS/SCI Security Clearance. Education and Experience: College, Vocational School, or High School diploma or equivalent and a combination of 10 years’ education and experience leading to licensure as a Master HVAC, or equivalent licensure or certification at a State level; or 12 years’ experience in an equivalent Military HVAC training/certification. Knowledge and Skill Requirements: Possess EPA 608 Type II (or Universal) or North American Technician Excellence (NATE) certification. Able to maneuver in small spaces and lift 50lbs Specific experience in fault isolation and resolution of tactical and strategic environmental systems and their sophisticated electronic support systems. Ability to plan, install, troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems not fully covered by technical manuals, schematics, etc. 4 years’ experience with HVAC control and monitoring systems and their components. Role Description The Senior Level Technician must be able to troubleshoot and repair commercial HVAC equipment in an efficient and professional manner. Candidates must be able to diagnose the causes of breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components. Technicians must also be committed to safety in the use of all hand and power tools and must have solid interpersonal and customer service skills. The ideal candidate would have 10 plus years of verifiable HVAC industry experience. In addition, the successful candidate must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Requirements Responsibilities: Responsible for servicing and maintaining various types of commercial HVAC/refrigeration equipment. Performs routine and preventive maintenance as needed for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functioning of HVAC systems.
