Overview The Biosurveillance Scientist will support the Department of Homeland Security’s Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Office in identifying, analyzing, and reporting on biological events of interest to national security due to their effects on human, animal, plant, and/or environmental health.  The role will incorporate open source biosurveillance reporting and technology innovation consulting in the biosurveillance space for the purpose of providing information decision makers and responders at the federal, state, and local levels can leverage for both early detection and situational awareness.
