2000 Kia Sportage, needs work - $900 (20th St. and Baseline)

address7435 S 24th Pl, Phoenix, AZ 85042, USA

Description

4x4, 4 cylinder, good tires, automatic. It runs, it moves, but starts to move slowly in Drive, so I would begin in Low, then shift to Drive. Leaks oil. Speedometer, odometer and fuel gauge all stopped working the same time that it lost power. I did some research and think that the problem could be the VSS, Vehicle Speed Sensor. I am not a mechanic. VSS is available from Rock Auto (online) for $20 or $40. (or maybe it's a fuse ?). Problems started shortly after I had oil and brakes done at a Mechanic shop. I had a front left tire blowout on the freeway that literally knocked out a light and cut the wires to the horn. I have a replacement light, needs wires re-connected. Recently, the engine started running rough. Driver's side power windows are not working correctly. Windshield is cracked, AC is not working, radio doesn't work. Odometer stopped at 163,418 a year ago. I bought it in 2022 at 132,000, and believe that the engine was re-built at around 125,000. Call or text
