Our house, named Big Blue, has room opening up! Rent is $735/mo including all utilities (internet, electricity, gas, water, garbage). We prefer a 6mo lease. Sorry, no smoking inside, and no pets allowed. The room is on the 2nd floor, is about 9x12, has wood floors, a sloping ceiling, a closet, and a window facing east. The house was built in 1912 and has been fully renovated with updated plumbing, electrical, etc. It has wood floors throughout, and bright paint colors on the walls. The ground floor is spacious, with 9' ceilings. In the front of the house is a living room, dining room, and spare room. Behind the kitchen is a single bedroom and a bathroom with shower. Kitchen has a breakfast nook, gas stove, dishwasher, microwave and fridge. There are 3 more bedrooms and a full bathroom with a claw foot bathtub upstairs, as well as a small shared space in the hallway. There is laundry and bike parking in the basement as well as a small, sound-insulated music room and a shop area if you are the musical or handy type. We live on a wide, quiet street a few blocks from fun things on N. Williams and N. Mississippi Ave. It's a 15min bike ride downtown, and a few blocks from the 4, 44, 6 and 24 Trimet Bus lines. New Seasons grocery store is 4 blocks away. There is ample street parking. We like having a household that is friendly and can have a good time together, but we also keep our house clean and are respectful with noise levels. We get along great and will sometimes sit around just trying to make each other laugh or cook together, but we definitely respect each others’ space. Including you, it would be 4 of us. We want someone who we get along with and can have fun with, and especially appreciate those who are cordial and respectful. We expect an easygoing roommate that does not create drama and who cleans up when using the shared spaces.
