Position Specific Duties: Operate chairlifts within the guidelines of Washington State tramway safety committee rules and ansi b77 code books. Required to conduct Daily, Weekly, and monthly inspections for any existing or potential problems, to maintain and repair lifts according to prescribed procedures see maintenance manuals.
Must be able to open assigned lifts for operation: Turning on main power (480 vac), turn on low voltage, perform all stop and safety checks at all stations, check all fluids at stations including primary, secondary, spacing gear boxes, brakes, hydraulic tension, apu and tertiary reservoirs, battery fluid levels and so forth.
Perform drive checks: checking all machinery and mechanical parts of the drive station, including primary drive, auxiliary drive, primary, secondary, and spacing gear boxes, fluid levels, batteries, terminal sheaves, tires, belts, brake pads, hoses, and so forth.
Perform return checks: check carriage position, tension systems, terminal sheaves, tires, belts, hoses, batteries, and so forth. Maintain a clean and effective working environment for self and staff.
Ability to ski or snowboard. Ability to operate vehicles, snow mobiles, and ATVs.
Reports to Nick Clutter, Director of Lift Operations.
All positions within the department require the following abilities:
Mechanically Inclined: Must be able to assure that all equipment and machines are properly cared for including operation, stowing, and reporting. Must have basic mechanical knowledge and skills and basic low voltage electrical knowledge.
Integrity: Always demonstrates responsible and honest behavior in all tasks and job duties.
Dependability: Arrives to workstation on time, in uniform, and ready to work when scheduled for each shift and after breaks, and meals. Must have reliable transportation
Mountain Ambassadors: Demonstrates understanding and respect for people of all backgrounds. Actively seeks out and maintains positive working relationships with co-workers; effectively handling interpersonal conflict.
Physical Demands: Bending stopping, reaching, twisting, lifting heavy objects, pushing, and moving items up to 75 pounds repeatedly and without assistance. Climb equipment repeatedly using safety equipment. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Use care with machinery and equipment which can have sharp edges, extremely hot and/or cold surfaces as well as moving parts. Ability to move carefully throughout mountain including pathways and walkways in and out of buildings which may be icy and/or have high snowdrifts. Working outside with extremely low temperatures including at night.
Requirements

⢠Must have high school diploma or equivalent
⢠Must have a clear driving record and ability to meet insurance requirements
⢠Mechanical skills to troubleshoot issues
⢠Properly report and document all work done
⢠Climb towers safely and effectively with team
⢠Make quick decisions in the best interest of guests and Mountain
⢠Excellent conflict resolution and communication skills. Refer to management as needed.
⢠Assist in emergencies including lift evacuations, avalanche rescue, etc
Starting Wage: $18.66 per hour OR DOE (see Chart below) + Benefits*
Entry level employees will earn Minimum wage +$2 per hour until 30 day probationary period is passed. As mechanics tenure increases and/or level increases, the following rate per hour will be added to minimum wage.

Level I $ 2.00 $ 5.00 $ 7.50 $ 10.00
Level II $ 4.00 $ 6.50 $ 9.00 $ 11.50
Level III $ 5.50 $ 8.00 $ 10.50 $ 13.00
Management $ 7.50 $ 10.00 $ 13.00 $ 15.00
