Requirements Responsibilities Supports the Operations Manager in team development and works with staff at other levels to ensure an efficient workflow and smooth communication to achieve the team's success Follows standard operating procedures established by management Receives, inspects, handles, and stocks inbound products Receives returns, counts and confirms quantities, determines the condition and completes paperwork Assigns delivery tasks to delivery drivers according to the volume of goods in the warehouse Shares knowledge with other branches and headquarters on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs Interacts with customers and suppliers, answer questions, and resolving issues Tracks and reporting on operational performance Maintains policy and procedure documents Optimizes operational processes and procedures for maximum efficiency while maintaining quality standards Assists with the implementation of new processes and procedures Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred. About the Job Join Umbra's Manufacturing team as a Spacecraft Aerospace Technician and play a crucial role in building the satellites we launch every year. In this position, you will be hands-on in the assembly and testing of our advanced spacecraft systems. Your expertise will not only contribute to the successful construction of satellites but also help streamline and enhance our manufacturing processes across multiple builds. Key Responsibilities: Support assembly and test on a variety of spacecraft manufacturing tasks. Contribute to maintaining and improving manufacturing and test infrastructure. Communicate and work with engineers to develop and document test procedures. Maintains manufacturing documentation and reports (assembly procedures and test reports). Assist in the design and fabrication of test fixtures. Requirements Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalency certificate. 8+ years of experience working in an aerospace, manufacturing, military or automotive environment. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Familiarity with mechanical measuring equipment such as; torque wrenches, fixtures, tooling, gages, calipers and other measuring devices. Ability to manipulate equipment weighting up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced development environment. Strong computer skillset, including Microsoft Office navigation and file manipulation. Manual dexterity with the ability to handle and assemble small parts. Ability to work paid over-time as necessary to complete the mission. Desired Qualifications: 15+ years of experience in assembly of complex mechanical / electrical systems with preference to small team / startup environments. Experience working with delicate spacecraft hardware, especially wire harnessing and moving mechanical assemblies. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment. Ability to take project goals inputs and works towards that end-goal beyond individual task assignment. Certification in engineering disciplines. Responsibilities include ensuring accuracy in receiving shipments off containers, moving merchandise throughout the warehouse, picking goods to be packed, and packing goods for final shipment to the customer. Job Responsibilities: Help to ship, receive, sort, move, manage, test, and repack inventory for thousands of unique orders per day. Receive palletized and loose box truck and container shipments. Unload and sort goods. Move merchandise throughout the warehouse as necessary and inventory goods on a quarterly basis. Sort pick tickets, walk aisles, and accurately pick merchandise for shipment. Accurately pack a minimum of 50 unique orders per hour into the correct packaging for shipment. Maintain a clean work area and sweep, re-stock, and clean the warehouse daily. Assist with product testing, repacking, and sorting of defective merchandise. Assist with various other related tasks as assigned by the Floor Supervisor or Warehouse Manager. Requirements Basic Requirements: Education: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent. Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license with a good driving record. Must possess high school level math and reading skills and be able to read and write English. Must be comfortable working on his/her feet for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and move items up to 50 pounds on a regular basis sometimes on raised surfaces. Must be able to comfortably bend, kneel, and reach for items on deep shelves. Must be able to carry heavy items up and down ladders and step stools. Preferred Qualifications: 1 or 2 years of professional industry experience working in a busy warehouse or distribution facility. An appreciation for simple solutions to complex problems. An ability to build professional, constructive, and effective working relationships as well as a demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and be assertive in implementing successful management strategies. An ability to set objectives and goals and organize work appropriately to meet and exceed goals. Possess strong organizational and time management skills. Benefits Pay range: $17.00 per hour.
