In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, setup, and troubleshooting of new laboratory equipment, while also assisting with compound and inventory management activities. Key responsibilities include fulfilling compound requests, cataloging and labeling compounds, performing quality control checks on lab instrumentation, utilizing inventory management software, and completing sample management work orders. You will also deploy small laboratory equipment throughout the site to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This is a 100% on-site position with a Monday–Friday schedule during normal business hours. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) analysis of bulk asbestos samples and have formal training or certification in the field. Prepare and analyze samples with a high degree of precision and attention to detail. Document and report findings in compliance with laboratory quality assurance standards. Must have completed training through the McCrone Research Institute or hold documented approval/sign-off from another accredited laboratory.
