Russo's On The Bay is a fine dining restaurant located in Howard Beach, New York. We are known for our exceptional Italian cuisine, elegant ambiance, and excellent customer service. Currently, we are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic Food Runners to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to the servers and kitchen staff by ensuring timely delivery of food items to our guests. This role is ideal for those passionate about the restaurant industry looking to advance their career. Responsibilities Expedite food from the kitchen. Clean up buffet areas after cocktail hour. Maintain the hygiene and food safety of the cocktail hour food. Assist with dinner service, bringing main course items to the tables. Assist with cake cutting and plating. Reset cocktail hour areas for the next day’s service. Additional responsibilities directed by your Maitre`D or Terrace Supervisor. Requirements At least 1 year of experience in restaurant food service. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a team and individually. Flexibility to work late nights and weekends. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds, stand, walk up and down stairs, for extended period of time during shift.
