The Structural Discipline provides structural engineering services with emphasis on new design, repair, and rehabilitation of constructed works, as well as investigation and performance evaluation. This position will work closely under the supervision of a Senior Structural Engineer to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications and reports. Requirements Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with structural coursework. Engineering in Training Certificate (E.I.T.) required. Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering is preferred. 0 to 5 years of experience with concrete, steel, masonry, and/or wood design is required. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and structural engineering design software (RISA, SAP, and/or TSD) is required. Position Overview: The Estimator Assistant will focus on assisting in creating digital take-offs of finish carpentry items from architectural plans, inputting details into Excel spreadsheets, and compiling comprehensive proposals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Proposal Creation: - Assist with preparing bids, change orders, T&M agreements, work orders, and detailed sketches/specifications. - Perform Data Entry and other documentation related to the estimates. - Generate and Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and submittals. - Create and present proposals to upper management for review and approval.
