Located on Miramar Road in the heart of San Diego’s luxury auto corridor, our 5-bay shop (including an alignment rack) is surrounded by high-end dealerships—but we deliver dealership-quality work without the red tape. We’ve built a reputation for quick-turnaround, high-quality repairs, and a no-drama, family-style work culture. We’re looking for a Shop Foreman / Lead Diagnostic Technician to help us level up our operation and lead from the front. What You’ll Do Be the go-to diagnostic expert—handling complex drivability, electrical, and module issues Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the tech team Assist with hands-on repairs when needed to keep workflow moving Maintain accuracy and efficiency in diagnostics and repair strategy Collaborate closely with service advisors to keep jobs on track and customers informed Who You Are Minimum 10 years of professional experience in European automotive diagnostics and repair Deep knowledge of Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, and other German makes Confident in logical diagnostics and systematic troubleshooting Comfortable teaching, leading, and supporting a tech team without micromanaging Experienced with modern diagnostic equipment (Autel, Snap-On Zeus, Launch, etc.) Programming/coding knowledge is a bonus, but not required Team-oriented, professional, and easy to work with—we value attitude as much as skill Requirements At least 10 years of experience working on German/European vehicles Clean and valid driver’s license Strong diagnostic skillset and comfort using scan tools and service info systems ASE certifications a plus (but not required) What We Offer Pay range: $40 – $50+ per hour (flat rate or salary structure, based on experience) No weekends – We believe in work-life balance and quality time Clean, organized, and well-equipped 5-bay facility Access to all the tools and resources you need to succeed Low-drama, high-respect environment—your experience and voice matter here Opportunities to grow with the business How to Apply If you’re a seasoned diagnostic tech who’s ready to step into a leadership role—without the dealership politics—this might be your spot.
