We are seeking skilled Traveling Millwrights to join our team, specializing in sawmill maintenance across Washington and Oregon. This is a physically demanding role requiring mechanical expertise, welding, and fabrication skills, and the ability to work in various weather conditions and remote locations. Work will primarily take place on weekends and holidays, often involving overtime and emergency maintenance calls. Key Responsibilities • Installation, maintenance, and repair of sawmill equipment, conveyors, motors, and industrial machinery. • Perform precision welding (MIG, & Stick) and metal fabrication as needed. • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues to minimize downtime. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals for equipment maintenance and repair. • Operate grinders, drills, saws, and misc. power tools for troubleshooting and repairs. • Follow all safety protocols and ensure a secure work environment. • Work independently and collaboratively to meet job deadlines. • Travel frequently between job sites in Washington and Oregon, often on short notice. What We’re Looking For • Experienced Millwrights with a background in sawmill maintenance, heavy industrial work, or steel fabrication. • Strong mechanical aptitude, with skills in troubleshooting and repairing equipment. • Ability to weld (MIG, TIG, Stick) and fabricate metal components. • Comfortable working long hours in demanding environments (heat, cold, rain, and rough terrain). • Frequent travel required—must be willing to be on the road and work at various job sites. • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. • Ability to lift 50+ pounds work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks. • A strong team-oriented mindset—we value people who take pride in their work and support their crew. Preferred Qualifications • Certifications in welding, rigging, or industrial maintenance. • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems. • OSHA 10 or 30 certification. • Forklift and aerial lift certification (preferred but not required).
