INSTRUCTOR PLUMBING TECHNICIAN PROGRAM This is a full time, year-round teaching appointment in the Plumbing Technician program. Working hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:45 AM – 4:45 PM. This position will report to the Plumbing Technician Program Department Head. WORKING CONDITIONS: Duties are performed in a classroom and lab environment. Working conditions will align with the career and technical education field as follows: Career and technical education teachers, especially those in postsecondary schools, teach courses and develop lesson plans. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have three (3) years of related practical work experience in the subject area(s) taught, as required by all faculty teaching technical and occupationally related courses in non-degree program. Must hold a valid Journey Level Plumber (01) certificate through the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries. Must hold a valid Plumbing License for Washington State and be able to utilize the license for plumbing projects for Perry Technical Institute. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to contribute to curriculum development and skilled at bringing the business community to the classroom. Experience with Learning Resource Systems (LRS).
