We specialize in backhoe work, grading, underground utilities, emergency and maintenance services for residential developers, commercial developers, individual homeowners, agriculture, ranchers, public works, and business owners. Job Summary: Skillfully operate and maintain excavator and backhoe on earthwork and underground utility projects. Duties: Ability to safely and proficiently operate excavators and backhoes on various terrains • Familiarity with earthmoving, underground utility trenching and underground best practices and principles. Knowledge of waterworks, water main line installation and repairs, sewer mainline installation and repairs, septic tank installs and repairs. • Operate other types of standard heavy civil construction equipment • Various general labor tasks • Thorough equipment inspections and maintenance • Basic fueling and lubricating of equipment. Work Effectively with supervisors, foreman and peers to operate heavy equipment • 3 years of Construction labor and Equipment operating such as: • Excavators • Loaders • Caterpillar D1 Dozer • Backhoe • Skip Loader • Assist in initial setup and cleanup of worksite • Attend and participate in weekly & Monthly Safety Meetings • Conditions of Employment: Successful candidate must submit to post offer pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing. COMPANY : We are a well established (20+ years) small General Contracting firm that focuses only on high-end residential construction (large scale remodels). Our project values are typically in the range from $5mm to $15mm. As such, we look to only hire the very best of the best, with compensation to match accordingly. We are currently seeking a verifiable , experienced "all star" residential superintendent that has had success in building large/challenging homes in SF and Marin County in the recent past. SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Site Superintendent will oversee the construction project on a daily basis. They will assist with the supervision of all onsite work. This often includes, but not limited to demolition, intricate foundation replacements, excavations, layout of in-house trim carpentry team, supervise and coordinate with all trade labor and subcontractors, and interface with our company president, project manager, architect, engineers, local officials, and others. Our work extends from foundations thru to final trim and paint. Additional responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to: • Review architectural and structural designs to determine scope of work (organized by Autodesk Build software on iPads) • Oversee projects to maintain compliance with construction safety codes and other regulatory requirements. • Prepare daily logs for construction activities and daily project reports. • Coordinate with project team and building trades for the preparation and processing of project documentation, including, but not limited to submittals, RFI's and Change Order requests. * layout carpentry tasks for employees of our firm EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED: • Seven to ten years minimum experience in general construction, with emphasis on high end RESIDENTIAL projects preferred in SF or Marin County.
