Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

Our client is a Y Combinator-backed startup that is redefining the hiring market with an AI recruiter that conducts live interviews with candidates. They're one of the fastest-growing companies from their recent batch, with over $3.3M in funding and several years of runway. Our client is looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to own major systems across both their consumer and enterprise software. This role offers an incredible opportunity to tackle complex, high-impact problems. You'll work on everything from reducing interviewer latency to scaling infrastructure for thousands of simultaneous interviews, all while building out new features for enterprise clients. You will be responsible for: Building and scaling consumer software, including optimizing for low latency and high concurrency. Designing and implementing enterprise software, with a focus on integrations and data visualization. Working with complex data structures, including vector databases for candidate trait queries. Contributing to a rapidly evolving product roadmap. Requirements We are seeking a senior full-stack engineer with a proven track record of excellence from a top university or startup environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on builder who is comfortable working across the entire stack. Must-Haves: 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience. 2+ years at a successful, fast-growth startup. Experience with React + TypeScript in production environments. Proficiency in Python (asyncio, FastAPI) and SQL. Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search. A strong design sense, with experience using tools like Figma. Willingness to work in-person, 5 days a week, in San Francisco. Bonus Points: DevOps exposure with technologies like Azure, Kubernetes, or Docker. Experience at a company with a top-tier engineering culture.
