Join Our Team as a Mohs Surgery Medical Assistant - WILSON, NC LOCATION! We are currently looking for a skilled Mohs Surgery Medical Assistant to join our passionate team. In this vital role, you will work closely with our surgeons and clinical staff to facilitate exceptional patient care and support throughout the surgical process. Your responsibilities will include preparing patients for surgery, assisting during procedures, and providing post-operative care. Responsibilities Prepare patients for Mohs surgical procedures by collecting medical histories and assessing vital signs. Assist the surgeon in the operatory, ensuring that all necessary instruments and supplies are arranged. Provide compassionate post-operative care by instructing patients on follow-up care and answering questions. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a sterile operating environment. Manage administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records efficiently. Educate patients about the Mohs procedure and address any concerns they may have. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification is an advantage. Prior experience in a medical assistant role, particularly in dermatology or surgical settings. Knowledge of surgical instruments and aseptic techniques is essential. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, focusing on patient care and comfort. Strong multitasking abilities and excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and medical software applications. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to patient privacy laws.
