THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION BUT OFFERS UP TO 2 DAYS REMOTE WORK AFTER TRAINING IS COMPLETE Plaintiff's personal injury firm seeks an attorney to handle personal injury cases in our Alameda office. We are looking for someone who has strong people skills, is very organized and detail oriented, is a self-starter, and is able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. This position does not involve litigation work. Qualifications: Excellent research, writing, and communication skills. Understanding of Tort/PI law. Must Have 1+ years of personal injury experience. After one year, employees are eligible to participate in our 401k plan with employer match at 4%. What will you be doing? After a comprehensive training program, under the direction of the Managing Attorney, you will be: Working with a team of case managers answering their questions, making sure clients are getting the medical treatment they need, making sure all avenues of insurance and recovery are explored, and making sure cases are moving towards the demand phase. Communicating with clients at least every 30-90 days. Reviewing cases to determine the case value, identifying all potential defendants, determining if there is evidence that needs to be preserved and if any experts and/or investigators should be hired. Determining the general strategy of the case depending on the facts. Reviewing and revising demand packages which would include reviewing and summarizing medical records and other documents. Reviewing and revising drafts of complaints, public entity claim forms, case management conference statements, minors’ compromise petitions, and other documents. Attend court hearings as needed, including case management conferences and minors’ compromise hearings. Some supervision of team members. Temporary Walnut Creek (Remote - must be onsite for initial training) Seeking a temporary Legal Contract Audit Assistant for a 5-month assignment to track responses, follow up and prepare audit letters and updates based on law firm fee agreements. Responsibilities: Coordinate audit letter responses, managing all correspondence and tracking/following-up with attorneys regarding pending audit letter responses to ensure timely completion and return to auditors Generate draft responses to audit letters based on internal templates and matter data for attorney review and finalization Maintain audit response logs and status trackers, ensuring accurate records of all open requests, due dates, and submissions Coordinate with auditors and clients to confirm deadlines, preferred formats, and delivery instructions Verify and update contact information for auditors and firm attorneys Compile supporting documentation (engagement letters, matter lists, attorney statements) Provide administrative support during peak audit seasons, (file organization, email monitoring, scheduling) Bachelor’s degree preferred.
