Description

Project Summary: At present the existing egress from 200/ 220/ 100 would exit into an area that has no safe way out from these buildings. We need an emergency egress out of the areas behind building 100, 200, and 220 to the alleyway west of these buildings. Recommendations: 1. Retrofit existing chain link fence at the alleyway to have a new chain link door which will have an alarmed panic hardware with delayed egress. 2. Door should exit toward the alleyway. 3. New door should be chain-link and match the style of the existing fence line. Findings: The exterior area between Administration Building 100, Education Building 200 and Dining Hall Building 220 is entirely enclosed by buildings with locked doors and fencing which prevents unobstructed egress to a public way during an emergency event.
