Description

The Senior Test Lab Technician, under little to no supervision, performs a variety of tasks in the System Test Lab (Rack Room). The individual shall be responsible for providing troubleshooting and repair support in the test lab and leading technicians in the same. The Senior Rack Room Technician will also be responsible for the creation and update of engineering drawings, assembling of test fixtures and other lab equipment, understanding rack network setups and be able to troubleshoot and modify them, and assisting in the day to day support operations of the Rack Room.  Duties and Responsibilities:  Assist with and perform troubleshooting on electrical and Ethernet cabling using common tools  Interpret, create, and update engineering drawings  Create wiring harnesses/assemblies from engineering drawings  Assemble and maintain new test racks and mini racks  Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of lab hardware and assets  Perform other job-related duties as assigned  Requirements Associate’s Degree in Electronics or equivalent experience in a related field  5+ years of experience as an engineering lab technician, assemble/repair line tech or related professional experience  2+ years of experience building cables and/or other electromechanical assemblies  Working knowledge of electronic and electromechanical components  Skilled in use of lab instruments (multimeter, etc.)  Knowledge of software operating systems, such as Windows and Linux  Benefits The starting pay range for this position is $28.00 to $33.00 per hour however, the base pay offered may vary depending on the level of the position, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
