We deliver a customized end-to-end experience that is tailored just for groups and powered with technology at every layer.  What we are looking for… AvantStay is looking for a Groundskeeper who will be responsible for maintaining outdoor areas at our vacation rental homes in Port Aransas market.  Must reside within 30-minutes of market area. What you’ll do… You will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities, which may not be an exhaustive list:  Partner with Area Managers to ensure all outdoors spaces of our properties are functional and guest ready Ensuring trash cans are moved from home to the curb for 2x weekly. Returning trash cans from the curb to the home 2x weekly. Turning on/off pool heat for guest arrivals/departures Ensure BBQ grills are clean and propane is full with back up present. Landscape Maintenance: mowing lawns, trimming shrubs and trees, planting flowers, and maintaining flower beds, ensuring that the outdoor areas look neat and well-kept Weed Control: handle the removal of weeds from flower beds, lawns, and other landscaped areas. This may involve using tools such as weed whackers, hand tools, or chemical treatments. Pest Control: Monitoring for pests and implementing pest control measures as needed. Litter, Sand and Debris Removal: Keeping outdoor areas clean by picking up litter, fallen leaves, branches, blowing sand, and other debris. This may involve using tools such as rakes, leaf blowers, and trash receptacles. Equipment Maintenance: Maintaining and servicing landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers to ensure they are in good working condition. Seasonal Tasks: Performing seasonal tasks such as power washing, gutter cleaning, window cleaning. Safety Inspections: Conducting regular inspections of outdoor areas to identify potential safety hazards such as uneven pathways, broken fences, or hazardous plants. Record-Keeping: Keeping records of maintenance activities, supplies used, and any issues encountered. Collaboration: Working with other members of the maintenance team and contractors to coordinate larger projects or address specialized needs. Customer Service: Providing assistance and information to guests and homeowners who may have questions about the outdoor areas or need help with specific requests. Move heavy objects and be on your feet for prolonged periods of time Requirements What you’ll bring… Experience in groundskeeping Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Basic understanding of pool and hot tub equipment Willingness to do what it takes for us to reach our goals Great communication skills and the ability to think on your feet A perfectionist attitude and an obsession over all the details Must have a smartphone Tech savviness to troubleshoot home technology issues and comfort navigating apps to document work Ability to lift heavy objects Ability to be self-sufficient and independently complete jobs Must be able to access the market by car in 30-40 minutes Must have an SUV/Truck. Must have the ability and availability to work weekends, holidays, and with an overall flexible work schedule to fit current business needs Business needs dictate hands on market presence.
