Custodian The Custodian ensures the store’s cleanliness is maintained on a consistent basis, throughout each day, during business hours and after closing. The Custodian will ensure the store is free of common safety hazards such as wet floors, trip stacks, piles of dirt created while sweeping and report any potential safety hazards to the Manager On Duty and Store Manager. The following job duties must be met by working a shift that overlaps with the store closing. A Custodian may be expected to obtain extensive knowledge of Natural Foods and some basic knowledge of Nutritional Supplements including vitamins, herbs, amino acids, sports nutrition, food supplements, and health and beauty aids. Deli Front-End Clerk Deli Clerks are responsible for making sandwiches, juices, and smoothies according to instruction cards and customer requests. Deli Clerks will ensure that food quality standards are being upheld for all Deli products. Deli Front-End Clerks will help to promote an outstanding food company appearance by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members. Deli Kitchen Clerk: Deli Kitchen Clerks are responsible for performing all functions relating to the maintenance and preparation of the cold case, grab-n-go, hot case, and salad bar. Deli Kitchen Clerks will ensure that food quality standards are being upheld for all Lassens Deli Products. Deli Kitchen Clerks help to promote a food company appearance by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members. Knife skills are a priority. Market Clerk: A Market Clerk is responsible for supporting all Market Department operations by maintaining a clean work environment and organized, merchandised food displays. A Market Clerks duties include obtaining or receiving and stocking merchandise, assisting the Market Manager with placing orders, and providing outstanding customer service to all Guests. Produce Clerk (part time): A Produce Clerk works in and performs all activities in the Produce Departments including ordering, stocking, and customer service. Builds attractive displays, prepares product for displays, including soaking, trimming, and culling of produce. Ensures a high cleanliness and organizational standard within the department. Receiver (full time): The Receiver is responsible for accurately receiving all shipment that is delivered to the store location, ensuring accurate inventory is being maintained. The Receiver is responsible for properly handling and submitting credit requests with all approved Papayas vendors. The Receiver must ensure products received are in good condition and, if perishable, within the correct temperature range. The Receiver is responsible for processing all invoices and Catapult purchase orders that are delivered to their location and ensures Accounting receives the correct information when processed. The Receiver must also keep the receiving area clean and organized, clear of trash and/or obstructions, and ensure shipment is expedited to the proper department in a timely manner. A Receiver may be expected to obtain extensive knowledge of Natural Foods and some basic knowledge of Nutritional Supplements including vitamins, herbs, amino acids, sports nutrition, food supplements, and health and beauty aids. Wellness Associate (part time): A Wellness Associate will be responsible for providing a high level of outstanding customer service by giving prompt, friendly and knowledgeable service to all Guests in the Wellness Department. A Wellness Associate may assist the Wellness Manager with placing orders, obtaining or receiving merchandise, and direct customers to the location of products throughout the department. A Wellness Associate will create and maintain department displays, ensure all pricing is accurate by placing the correct shelf tags and sale signs throughout the department, and share their knowledge of Papayas monthly AD’s and sales in the Wellness Department with customers. A Wellness Associate will use their knowledge of vitamins, supplements and cosmetic items to answer questions and educate customers within the proper legal parameters.
