Job Overview: We are eagerly seeking to hire a Certified Nursing Assistant Instructor to join our strong team at CLT Care Academy that will educate and mentor future Nursing Assistants by teaching theoretical knowledge, practical skills and specialty courses in classroom and clinical settings. This role incorporates teaching a Certified Nursing Assistant program for either a daytime or nighttime class. Duties: - Teaching and Instruction: Prepare study material and deliver lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on skill training in classroom. - Clinical Supervision: Guide and monitor students in clinical environments, such as assisted living communities, providing real-world experience. - Curriculum Development: Develop, and update nursing curricula and educational materials to meet accreditation standards. - Student Evaluation: Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of their performance. - Mentorship and Guidance: Act as a mentor and role model, fostering an environment of inquiry, empathy, and critical thinking among students. - Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest advancements in healthcare, nursing practices, and educational theories. Requirements: - Current, active LPN or RN license in the state of Washington with no in-fractures. - Will be required to take the Adult Instruction Course upon hiring. - A minimum of 1 year experience teaching adults beyond patient teaching. - A minimum of 1 year verifiable experience as a licensed nurse in the last three years providing direct patient care for elderly or chronically ill, or has completed three years of verifiable experience at any time providing direct patient care for elderly or chronically ill. - Previous experience in nursing or healthcare settings is preferred, including hospital or senior care experience. - Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation review processes is essential. - Teaching experience of adult education is advantageous. - Strong understanding of adult education principles and nursing administration practices is beneficial. - Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with students, residents and administrators. - Training will be provided prior to independently teaching a class.
