Position Type: Full-time, Hourly Location: In Office; Auburn, WA Wage Scale: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour Benefits: Full-time Regular Employees (and their families) can enroll in medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, and 401K. Employees will also accrue 80 hours of paid vacation per year for the first 9 years and eight paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Responsibilities: -Performs routine accounting activities such as data entry, maintenance of the general ledger, preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports for several locations. -Reviews coding, transactions, and journal entries. -Reconciles accounts. -Maintains the integrity of accounting records by ensuring that staff complies with organization accounting policies and procedures. -Assists with audits, coding and preparation of financial statements and operational reporting. -Assists with cost-reduction studies. -Gather data and assists with analyzing current costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations to predict future revenue and expenses. -Assist with accounts payable and receivable as needed. -Abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected. -Other duties as assigned. Requirements: -Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college in Business Administration Accounting, Finance or related field. -2 years accounting experience preferably in construction, contracting or building materials environment (or equivalent combination in education and experience). -Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents such as financial statements, technical journals, and legal documents. -Ability to negotiate with internal and external sources. -Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
