1986 Toyota 4Runner DLX 22R-E Automatic Transmission 300,000 miles $8000 Or Best Offer This 4Runner has been in my family since 1991 and was a daily driver for years. Originally a California car, it’s been in Washington since 2005. I’ve not used it much in the past 4+ years and it’s time to let it go. I’ve also fallen behind on repairs and maintenance due to a lack of a proper garage and motivation. It could use all the fluids changed and the joints lubed. Modifications/notes: Stolen and recovered twice. Exhaust system (cat back) replaced in the last 2 years. Engine rebuilt in ~2009 and ~50k miles ago. Front seats are from a 1997 4Runner (much more comfortable than the originals) Tires are 31x10.50x15 Removable steering wheel with key and hidden start button (for theft prevention). Still have the original steering wheel and the start button is easily removed and brought back to factory. LED headlights Issues/repairs needed: Most major and pressing issue is the motor mounts. The passenger side is completely gone. I have the parts I’ve just been too lazy to replace. There is an intermittent vibration that seems to be speed dependent but does not happen all the time, maybe 30% of the trips. Due to this, I would prefer the buyer to be local or have the vehicle towed. Cold start system intermittently functions. When it works, it starts immediately, when it doesn’t, it needs ether. 4WD functions but the indicator in the dash does not. High beams work but do not indicate in the dash due to new LED headlights installed. No backup lights due to reverse light switch sticking (transmission mounted). Only penetrating rust (that I can find) is on the passenger side, front fender. Dent in hood Rear tailgate was replaced in 2001 and paint is slightly off color (due to uneven fading) I hate to let it go but clearly, I’m unwilling to do the work to keep it running as it should so, it’s time for it to go to someone who loves these old Toyota trucks as much as I do.
