92 Chevy Cheyenne C1500, Running "Project Truck" (OBS, GMT-400) - $3,000 (Plainfield)

address188 Church St, Moosup, CT 06354, USA

Description

92 Chevy Cheyenne C1500, GMT 400, also known as the OBS (Old Body Style) truck. 8 ft.bed, Running 4.3 V6, great for a V8 Conversion. These 88 -98 GMT 400's are starting to really go up in value, especially after restoration. First off, I want to highly stress, although the engine runs and everything works, I'm selling this as a Running PROJECT TRUCK. This is for soneone who really wants a good classic truck to restore and to work on gradually as you drive it, because the engine has always ran great. But will need head gaskets, and the cab floors is what really needs the majority of the work. Info is listed below. ONLY REASON WHY I'M SELLING: going through financial hardship and need to get ahead. If it weren't for my situation, I'd keep this truck and continue fixing it, because it's actually always been a very dependable running truck. ENGINE: 4.3 V6 w/ many new parts, including new egr valve, water pump, fan belt, battery, cold air intake & filter. Still starts and runs beautifully & quietly, ..but will need gaskets. Not that big of a job on these older trucks because the engines are easy to work on, but this truck would be great for V8 Conversion or an LS V8. I was originally going to put in a 350 V8. FRAME: Very solid, has scaly surface rust, but very solid. 8 FT. BED: Surprisingly in excellent shape with no rot above wheel wells. Has some small rust and rot spots on the very bottom, but can easily be fixed. CAB: Needs the majority of the work. Will need new rocker panels, full floor boards for both sides, & new windshield. These parts are pretty affordable and easy to get from catalogs like "LMC truck" or "National Parts Depot". You can find anything for these trucks. If you know these older Chevy trucks, ..they'll run forever, but they do get the rot mostly in the cab floors up here in New England. I'm asking $3,000 obo. I've been seeing these 88-98 OBS trucks being sold as project trucks, not even running & some without engines, for more than my asking price and within the 3,000 range, so i feel 3,000 or Best Reasonable offer is within fair reason. Keep in mind, it's coming with really good aftermarket accessories, ...the metal Cowl hood and the 90's American Racing "saw blade directional" style rims. Also it's a working & running truck. I kindly ask, that you please only call if you're a serious buyer with the intentions of wanting this truck to fix up. I'd really like to find the right buyer who will do all the right things with this truck and make something great out of it. This truck has a lot of potential.
