$1,000 Room in shared West Asheville house available September 1st

Room for rent in a house on Swannanoa Ave. Looking for a conscientious, friendly roommate (or roommates—couples are welcome) to move in this fall. *About the house* It’s a great place one block from Haywood Rd, a few minutes walk from Battle Cat Cafe, fifteen minutes walk to the river. We live in a sweet neighborhood and have a nice yard with a porch. The bedroom is 11x11 sq ft, with a small closet. The queen bed and desk pictured are available if you'd like to buy them from the previous tenant, or it can come unfurnished. One bathroom only, with a clawfoot tub. Central AC and heating, washer and dryer in unit, off-street parking for up to 3 cars. Rent is $1,000 a month, month to month, with last month’s rent and security deposit upfront. Utilities vary by season but have averaged around $215/month total for the house. No pets allowed, sadly. *About me* I’m 31yo, from New York originally. I moved to Asheville last August and am a full time grad student working on a master’s in clinical mental health counseling. I also do remote work from home for a few hours a week as an academic tutor.
