Position Summary Equipment Experts, Inc. is looking for additional Field Diesel Technicians to add to its team in Lakewood, WA. The Field Diesel Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing quality assurance of field repairs for Equipment Experts’ customers. The Field Technician plays a crucial role: aligning excellent diagnostic and repair abilities with our customers' need to deliver excellence safely. This position is highly collaborative, internally facing and requires a high level of experience and understanding of universal system functions. Job is located in Lakewood, WA. **Pay range: $25/hr. to $45/hr. based on relevant experience, plus monthly bonuses** ***This position has a $2500 sign on bonus & a $2500 six month retention bonus*** Field Technical schedule is Monday through Friday, 7am to 4pm (some variance in start time). Performance Objectives Diagnose, repair, accurately document machine repairs and information per service order. Communicate status of job in progress with customer, service advisor, and lead technician. Perform accurate, complete, and documented inspections per unit. Accurately document and communicate work in progress. Possess adequate tooling to perform repairs safely and effectively. Willingness to learn different types of equipment and how to repair them. Ability to effectively communicate with team members in a positive manner. Ability to make quick and accurate decisions in the moment. Experience in repairing a wide array of equipment. Ability to accurately document repairs as they are being made. Ability to utilize tablets and cell phones. Ability to drive and operate service truck safely. Education & Experience High School Diploma/GED 4+ years of experience in a production or fleet shop Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times per day. Wear required personal protective equipment as required. Stand for multiple hours at a time. Ability to work around hazardous materials. Ability to work in weather conditions. The Battery Test Technician will perform tasks in conditioning and testing Amprius Technologies’ proprietary silicon anode Li-Ion cells.  This is a temporary role with the opportunity to be converted to a regular employee.   Job Responsibilities Perform routine tests on Amprius batteries to evaluate performance, safety, and quality. Utilize tools/equipment such as pneumatic cutter, electric drill, degas machine, and formation machine. Perform PC Board Soldering per specifications and instructions. Load cells into test fixtures, set-up and execute electrical cell tests. Measure cells using mass scale, digital multi-meter, and caliper. Perform visual inspections to identify and evaluate potential defects. Identify and escalate failures or unexpected behaviors to the Engineering Team within defined response time. Monitor and maintain testing equipment and calibrate as needed. Participate in troubleshooting and identifying causes with Engineers and Technicians. Accurate documentation of the data. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives towards better efficiency and safety. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow safety guidelines for handling battery components.   Requirements Proficient in use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Comfortable performing manual tasks requiring precision and manual dexterity. Basic understanding of electrical connections and testing software. Proficient in troubleshooting and problem solving. Follow technical instructions for test procedures precisely and document results accurately. Motivated to new challenges and embrace learning new techniques and refining existing techniques. Autonomous, personable, positive and a good teammate. Organized, detail oriented, and clear written and verbal communication skills.       Education, Certifications, Experience High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Minimum 2 years of experience as an equipment operator or technician in one of the following industries: Semiconductor, solar, battery, electronics, or automotive. Basic computer skills. Physical Demands & Work Location: Fremont, CA: This is an on-site job. Reliable commute or planning to relocate before starting work is required. Be able to lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. May be required to stand, sit, squat, bend, kneel, twist, crawl, reach, lift, balance, push, and pull.
