PURPOSE:   Plans, directs, and coordinates the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products at the Syracuse facility in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications and provides continuous leadership and focus on the SEALS mission and developing a world-class operation   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  LMA - Leads, Manages, and holds Accountable all direct reports Actively participates in the vetting, selection, and onboarding process Monitors efficiency and productivity to ensure expectations are met or exceeded Conducts regular coaching (formal and JIT) Conducts performance reviews and facilitates disciplinary actions as necessary Manages plant productivity and efficiency daily to ensure that manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner that meets quality standards, on-time shipment goals, customer requirements and profitability; addresses deficiencies accordingly Continually increases production capacity and output while meeting or exceeding quality standards and company goals through careful scheduling, allocation of resources, and process/procedure improvements  Manages and develops the talent pool which includes coaching and motivating for improved performance and morale and developing career growth paths for retention  Ensures the manufacturing training program requirements and cross-training goals are met to increase team flexibility and productivity; implements new training standards as needed  Authorizes OT only as needed with goal to minimize labor costs wherever possible Collaborates with team on problematic jobs or machinery to provide clear direction on an effective resolution and communicates that to all involved parties Oversees Plant safety program development and compliance; enforces safety policies and practices to ensure culture of health and safety; identifies safety hazards and works with management team on corrective actions; ensures housekeeping requirements are completed and machinery is operated in accordance with safety procedures  Assists with special projects as necessary including, but not limited to; equipment purchases, plant layout, new processes, etc Requirements Bachelor's degree and five years of experience as a manager in a production environment or equivalent combination of education and experience - Engineering experience preferred. Proficiency working in a computer supported environment with business systems software, Microsoft office programs and CAD Strong technical skills and familiarity with basic machine operation and machine capabilities Proven leadership and delegation skills 5S, Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow; able to multi-task Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm Benefits 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Vision insurance

Our QA Technician's typical schedule will work Monday - Friday 3PM - 11PM. The QA Tech will work closely with the shift supervisor and QA Supervisor to ensure all quality parameters are being met at all times. This position must maintain a consistent quality product by performing QA checks (moisture, breakage, Oxygen, Bag Seal integrity, date code and raw material verification, and other checks as requested by leadership) at the required intervals. Key Responsibilities Prepare shift reports as directed by the Quality Assurance Manager. Perform line inspections and raw material verifications prior to production beginning after a changeover or at the start of production for the week. Validate sanitation effectiveness and complete Post-OP or Pre-OP sanitation inspection report. Constantly inspect product as it is being produced to ensure it meets the benchmark standard and customer expectations and stop production immediately if out of tolerance deviation occurs. Verify all on line inspection sheets and production documents prior to and during production. Sign off on all changeover check sheets as quickly as possible to verify all details are correct or to minimize the amount of product to be put on hold. Place all out of specification products and/or raw materials on hold using an orange QC Hold tag. Conduct and report daily GMP audits and corrective measures on designated shift. Perform a walkthrough with the shift supervisor at least once per week. Assist in maintaining retained production samples for each product produced. As needed, assist with training of new employees and refresher training of existing employees in GMP, HACCP and other certifications as needed. As needed, assist with customer complaints investigations. As needed, assist with sample preparation and shipping. As needed, assist in keeping Process Sheets up to date with production notes and speeds. As needed, assist with required Quality Assurance reports. As needed, conduct taste tests to ensure production run matches previous runs/samples. As needed, assist with R/D tasks and production sample runs/trials and report. Requirements 1 - 2 years working in a production or food manufacturing facility Requires basic reading, writing and math skills.​ Ability to work in a manufacturing plant environment Must be able to move/lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work in a warm/humid environment Must be able to work off shifts and be flexible with scheduling.
