We are looking for a Senior Software Engineering Lead (Rokt Thanks) Target Total Compensation: $310,000 - $385,000, including a fixed annual salary of $210,000 - $260,000, employee equity grant, and world-class benefits. As a Sr Software Engineering Lead on the Rokt Thanks team, you’ll join an autonomous group owning a high-impact problem space in our backend development stack. You’ll collaborate closely with talented engineers and product managers to solve complex technical challenges, drive meaningful business value, and shape the future of post-transaction experiences for millions of shoppers. About the role:  Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of backend features that drive Rokt Thanks’ post-transaction experiences for millions of shoppers. Own complex product areas with a focus on customer and partner impact, operating with high autonomy and accountability. Collaborate across engineering, product, and data teams to launch new Rokt Thanks features and optimize real-time offer delivery. Build scalable, reliable backend systems and reusable frameworks to support seamless, high-volume ecommerce integrations. Mentor and support other engineers, championing best practices in architecture, system health, and continuous delivery. Requirements We're looking for an engineer who is passionate about data and its potential to transform business. About You: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.  6+ years of experience, or 4 years with an advanced degree, with at least 2 years leading a team in commercial software development experience designing, building and operating distributed systems.  Commercial experience in one of the following languages: Java, C#, Python, JavaScript or Go. You have written a lot of performant easy-to-maintain code using best practices.  Experience in any of the following: web application development, distributed systems, cloud platforms such AWS/GCP/Azure, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines  Strong background in designing and building high-throughput low-latency distributed systems.  Excellent communication skills in English - you can explain complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences both verbally and in writing.  At Rokt we encourage autonomy; teams have complete ownership of their systems including building, running and monitoring.
