Key Responsibilities: Manage your own docket with support from paralegals and clerks Collaborate with partners on strategy, motions, and trial prep Handle depositions, motion practice, and client communication Draft complex pleadings, dispositive motions, and Daubert challenges Lead written discovery, manage privilege logs, and pursue strategic motions Argue in state and federal court, assist at trial, and negotiate resolutions Use AI tools, Westlaw, and O’Connor’s to optimize workflows Support firm marketing, CLE, and outreach initiatives Requirements What We’re Looking For Minimum Qualifications: J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school Licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar 1–4 years of civil litigation experience with written discovery responsibility Experience taking or defending at least two depositions Familiarity with Texas civil procedure and courtroom practice Tech proficiency (Casepeer, Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat) and interest in AI Preferred: Background in commercial litigation Trial or courtroom experience (first or second chair) Strong communication, initiative, and team leadership Business development potential or entrepreneurial mindset Benefits Compensation depends on experience - $100,000–$135,000 base, plus performance-based bonuses and origination incentives, litigation responsibility, and independence.
