Magnolia Plantation & Gardens, one of the nation’s oldest and most beloved historical public attractions, is looking to add a Facilities Support Services Technician to our team! Due to the growth within the company, this role will provide essential facilities support to various departments by accomplishing tasks such as mail delivery, moving furniture, trash pick-up, and more. The Facilities Support Services Technician is dedicated to supporting our team members and enhancing the experience of the guests we serve. What you will be doing: Responsible for providing a safe and exceptional transportation experience aboard an 8-passenger golf cart, ensuring guests are seamlessly ushered to their next Magnolia Plantation & Gardens destination Complete all maintenance and repair tasks as directed by Facilities and management; including but is not limited to changing light fixtures and bulbs, utilizing a wet vacuum to remove water from flooded areas, etc. Tend to all outside trash and recycling receptacles on property which are to be checked and emptied a minimum of 3x a day (morning, mid-day, & afternoon). During high volume & events, the trash bins in the main areas will need to be checked every few hours  Conduct a full sweep of the entire property and remove any trash and debris laying on the ground, parking lots, around trash bins, on tables, along the train road, etc. twice a day (morning/afternoon) or as needed Responsible for pressure washing including the café seating area, pavilion tram depot, gates, buildings, golf carts, etc.  Supports special events and company meetings by setting up and breaking down tables and chairs, speakers, projection equipment, televisions, extension cords, generators, decorations, and supplying additional trash cans and returning the bins at the completion of the event, etc. Manages the on-site parking by controlling the flow of traffic, direct parking during peak times or events Delivers mail, packages and supplies to designated departments Adhere to safety, health and environmental policies and procedures Represents a team-player spirit when assigned other duties as required Requirements Who you are: You have a friendly, professional, and helpful demeanor with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
