Gwynedd Manufacturing, a growing defense contractor located in North Wales, PA, is a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility dedicated to producing quality products for the U.S. Department of Defense and various U.S. Federal Law Enforcement Agencies. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Milling Manufacturing Manager to oversee our milling operations to ensure the efficient production of high-quality components. This role requires a hands-on approach to leadership and a deep understanding of milling processes and CNC machine operation. Key Responsibilities Manage and supervise all aspects of milling manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and production schedules. Lead a team of machining personnel by providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations. Optimize production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining product quality. Coordinate workflow between the milling department and other manufacturing areas to meet production goals. Implement and monitor performance metrics to continuously improve manufacturing processes. Ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards, including ISO requirements. Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues. Maintain records of production activity and prepare reports for upper management. Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience in a CNC milling environment. Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting is highly preferred. Strong understanding of CNC machining principles, programming, and setup. Proficiency with milling tools, fixtures, and other related equipment. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing methodologies and Continuous Improvement processes. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
