Join a collaborative editorial team where you’ll play a key role in ensuring high-quality publishing standards for educational and sport-related content. This position offers hands-on involvement in the production process, coordinating between in-house teams and external vendors to bring impactful resources to life. Ideal for detail-oriented individuals early in their publishing career, the role combines editorial oversight, project coordination, and opportunities to contribute to accessible and inclusive content. After one year of successful performance, remote work flexibility becomes available. Accountabilities: Coordinate various production phases of outsourced publishing projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Serve as the internal point of contact for colleagues in editorial, design, marketing, and permissions, and work closely with external vendor partners. Prepare clear project materials, manage art, photo, and video content, and assist with photo/video shoots. Ensure all project files and deliverables are correctly stored and accessible within internal systems. Review vendor deliverables at key milestones, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to accessibility and style guidelines. Conduct basic proofreading for artwork, covers, and other project elements, ensuring consistency with house and Chicago Manual of Style standards. Track and input data for permissions, design elements, and scheduling in internal databases and spreadsheets. Support synchronization of print books and ancillary materials by coordinating release timelines across departments. Suggest process improvements to increase editorial and vendor efficiency and assist other teams during lighter workloads. Requirements High school diploma required; bachelor's degree (especially in a language-related field or sport sciences) preferred. 0–1 year of experience in editing, publishing, or content production. Knowledge of U.S. English grammar and style; familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style. Comfortable with Microsoft Word and data entry; preferred experience with the full Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat DC. Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills. Demonstrates key competencies such as accountability, adaptability, attention to detail, and initiative. Comfortable using collaboration tools (e.g., Teams), and working across teams to meet project deadlines. Project management experience and publishing software proficiency are a plus. Benefits Competitive salary range of $42,000–$56,000; typical starting salary between $42,000–$43,000 based on experience.
