Cabinetmaker / Drafter – Flexible Role Compensation: DOE Benefits: PTO (vacation/sick, 5 paid holidays), medical (after 2 months), retirement plan (after 1 year) Employment Type: Full-time Experience Level: Mid-level Hours: 6 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. About the Role We are seeking a Cabinetmaker/Drafter to join our high-end custom cabinetry team. This role is unique in that it blends technical drafting with hands-on cabinetmaking, and requires a high degree of flexibility and initiative. The right candidate will thrive in a setting where priorities can shift from week to week — one day producing detailed shop drawings, the next day assisting on the shop floor, and the next day out on site taking measurements. Our ideal team member is highly organized, resourceful, and eager to contribute wherever the company needs support to move projects forward. Key Responsibilities Drafting & Pre-Production Create detailed shop drawings in Cabinet Vision (2–3 years minimum experience required) Translate architect/designer plans into production-ready drawings Generate cut lists, CNC files, and material take-offs Package complete drawing sets for review and production Cabinetmaking & Shop Support Assist with cabinet fabrication and assembly, including casework, face frames, and specialty components Support finishing preparation: sanding, edge-banding, veneer layup, and detailing Participate in hardware installation, fit and alignment checks, and final adjustments Collaborate with shop foreman to ensure drawings translate cleanly to the build process Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment Field Work & Project Support Conduct field measurements (DISTO experience a plus) Participate in site visits and client/architect/GC meetings as needed Troubleshoot jobsite details and document changes for shop integration Provide support with deliveries, installations, or client showroom visits on occasion General Support Assist operations manager with reviewing and updating drawings Maintain organized documentation throughout the project lifecycle Step into other areas of the workflow as needed — this is a “do what it takes” role where adaptability is essential Skills & Qualifications Cabinet Vision drafting expertise (2–3 years minimum) Hands-on cabinetmaking skills, including joinery, assembly, and finishing techniques Familiarity with shop equipment such as table saws, edge-banders, CNC routers, and related tools Strong problem-solving skills; able to pivot quickly between priorities Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design drawings Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Highly detail-oriented and organized, with strong proofreading skills Clear written and verbal communication skills Reliable transportation Who We’re Looking For You are the right fit if you: Take pride in both craftsmanship and accuracy of drawings Enjoy variety and don’t want to be locked into a single type of task Can switch gears between drafting, fabrication, and site support with ease Value teamwork and professional collaboration with designers, clients, and shop staff Are resourceful, adaptable, and motivated to keep projects moving forward Why Join Us?
