Youth Soccer Coach

TGA Premier Sports in Northern Westchester is one of the fastest growing TGA franchises and we NEED COACHES! This posting is specifically for individuals who would love to teach the game of golf to KIDS. We are looking for responsible individuals who are passionate about teaching kids. TGA uses youth sports as the vehicle to teach kids ages 5-14 a skill, while incorporating education, character development, and proper etiquette. We do it in the comfort of their own school or community. We do all this while making FUN and SAFETY our two top priorities. Coaches can work 1 days per week all the way to 7 days per week, getting 2-5 hours per day during the school year and up to 6+ hours during the summer. We are looking for both lead and assistant coaches. Coaches must be at least 16 years of age. We train all staff on the TGA curriculum, so extensive coaching experience is not required. We have programs year round and work with coaches' flexible schedules. We have programs all over Northern Westchester, and will do our best to schedule you close by where you would be driving from. We will compensate for travel if we ask you to drive more then 10 miles to a location. We look forward to continuing to grow our coaching staff. Be the face and the front line of Super Soccer Stars in each class - interact with parents, teachers, directors, and children daily. Assist/teach energetic and motivating classes, connect and challenge each child, and help them to accomplish motor development goals and inspire a love of movement and healthy habits in an organized, structure, and fun manner. Effectively and clearly communicate issues to the office and provide solutions. Showing up on time to class, physically and mentally prepared (includes commuting time). Equipment set-up and break-down. Provide hands-on individual and group attention to children. Requirements Own reliable transportation and willing to travel up to 45-minutes one-way to get to class locations. Candidates are recommended to be fully vaccinated upon commencing employment, subject to legally required exemptions. Legal exemptions include but are not limited to, medical condition, disability or sincerely held religious belief; some regions may require full vaccination upon hiring due to state specific mandates. Proof of vaccination in those states will be required and will be requested in the other regions. Punctual, willing to learn and accept feedback. Prior experience working with children preferred. Effectively engage and challenge all players, and to help them accomplish development goals and milestones, and to inspire a love of soccer in a fun, team-based environment. Effectively and clearly communicate issues to the leadership team and have a solution orientated mindset to challenges. Showing up on time and being punctual to all training sessions and games allowing enough time for commuting to locations. Provide hands-on individual and group attention to players in both training sessions and in game day coaching. Excellent verbal communcation skills. Experience in or have a strong desire to work in a club team environment. Prior experience working with children is preferred. Must be motivated, energetic, patient, and attentive. Must have experience coaching in youth soccer. Candidates without prior experience will not be considered for the position. Prior experience in coaching travel soccer is desirable. Ability to coach game day on weekends is preferred. Must possess a minimum of a grassroots coaching license. Must be available to work between the following times and have at least one day of weekend availability : Weekday Afternoons (3 pm - 8 pm) and Saturday Mornings (9am-1pm)

At AGS we provide fun, engaging experiences, creating lasting memories for the youth and families in our community and we're looking for energetic, enthusiastic, and kid-friendly soccer coaches to join our team! Our program starts with children aged as young as 18 months and gets them excited about "organized activities." At that age, it's way more about fun and fist pumps than it is about soccer. However, our children quickly progress into kicks, goals and even scrimmages. By the time they hit ages 5 or 6 we introduce them to scrimmages and then onto more competitive play thereafter. We continue to progress through to our oldest kids, who can be as old as 13, and are more focused on game-like situations and skill development. We are currently hiring for Toddler coaches who have experience working with children ages 2-5 years, and Youth Coaches who have experience working with ages 6 -14 years. Preference for experienced soccer coaches who are able to work with both Toddler and Youth ages. Requirements Passionate about working with and engaging young children is a must. Availability on weekday evenings (between 4pm - 8pm) and/or weekends (between 9am - 12pm on Saturday/ Sunday). Reliable and professional. Energetic, enthusiastic, and outgoing personality who enjoys working with children, parents, and co-workers. Able to be playful, fun, and imaginative with children. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with children and deliver feedback to parents. High energy individual who is physically fit and able to coach soccer skills/games with young children for 2+ hours Available to work through Summer and Winter seasons. Ideal Experience: Experience working with children ages 2 – 6 years. Preference for experienced soccer coaches who are able to work with both Toddler and Youth ages Experience with other types of young child sports organizations (SportBall, City Camps, Pedalheads, etc.) or soccer environments (Little Kickers, Timbits Soccer, House Leagues, etc.) Coaching certification (Active Start, FUNdamentals, Learn to Train, etc.) is an asset Benefits Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
