Job Title: Transcript Processing Specialist Neal R. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and value to our clients in the legal profession.  Location: This is a hybrid role and requires someone to be in the office 2-3 days a week. The office is located at 1716 14th St NW Ste. 200, Washington, DC 20009. Position Overview:  As the Transcript Processing Specialist plays a critical role in the production and delivery of accurate, timely transcripts. This position is responsible for reviewing audio and reporter materials, preparing audio and materials for transcribers, and distributing assignments to transcribers from legal proceedings, meetings, and other recorded events. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage a high volume of tasks while maintaining quality standards and confidentiality. This position requires a focused and motivated candidate with the ability to work in an autonomous setting. We hire intelligent, well-rounded people from a variety of backgrounds.  Key Responsibilities:  Prepare Court Reporter Materials and audio for transcription.   Edit audio and materials as needed to ensure quality and to ease distribution. Track transcription progress daily to maintain on-time delivery of work and ensure client satisfaction.  Work with clients to ensure we get the highest quality of provided audio for transcription. Upload audio into transcription partner portals for transcription.  Answer typist questions on assignments, especially formatting and style .  Alert Transcription manager to potential problems in the department or quality issues.  Confirm typist invoices and check them against final documents to ensure proper payments are made.  Communicate with other departments (e.g., Production, Scheduling, Client Services) to coordinate transcript needs and priorities. Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive legal materials and client information. Assist with special projects, transcript revisions, or re-deliveries as needed. Understand the transcript lifecycle and find ways to improve processes for efficiency and quality. All other work as assigned. Requirements Strong attention to detail  Reliably punctual and deadline-oriented  Can-do attitude and excellent work-ethic  Ability to work independently  Organizational and time-management aptitude  Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills  Excellent English language skills  Proficient with technology  Bachelor’s degree  1-2 years of work experience.  Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.  Proficient with various audio software.   Experience with Microsoft Word and Word Perfect is a plus.  Previous experience in a legal transcription, medical transcription or court reporting agency preferred.
