Our small company is looking to add one member to our long-standing group of technicians. We get to work in some of the nicest homes around Seattle and often travel for customers who have multiple homes. Experience with installing a media room of your own, configuring network equipment, terminating cables, and/or configuring smart home devices is a major plus. You will also need to demonstrate good craftsmanship with your hands using hand tools, drills, and saws as well as using precision measurement tools such as levels and a tape measure. What you’d be doing: -Working on residential projects during construction pulling wire, settings speakers, drilling holes and finishing installations while working under one of our lead technicians. -Installing TV’s, speakers, shades, etc in 2, 5, even 50 million dollar finished homes - NO room for mistakes, NO room for even a thought of theft - some jobs even require non-disclosure agreements to be signed before you are allowed on site. -After 2 years you can take your journeyman test and can lead two apprentices of your own -If you get good at installs, running projects, and configuring/programming some of our systems you can make very good money -If you have the ability to manage the installation of these projects as a field manager by coordinating parts, labor, schedule requirements there are opportunities to double your hourly rate based on an incentive structure. The Mechanic Service Technician position is responsible for solving issues related to the HOG Trucks. The Mechanic Service Technician must be familiar with the Chassis, Hydraulics, Electrical, and Plumbing. Our ideal candidate will have a basic understanding and experience with all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair and may need to work independently with minimal supervision. Specific Responsibilities Include: You will need to be able to use various hand tools and power tools, read and interpret manuals and schematics, and troubleshoot problems. In addition, you should have good customer service skills and be able to communicate effectively with our customers during offsite work. • Operate and inspect Hog trucks to diagnose defects. • Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul Hog vehicles (trucks), their engines, and assemblies, such as hydraulic and electrical systems. • Maintain, repair, and rebuild Hog trucks, functional components, and parts. • Examine and inspect truck components to locate cracks, breaks, leaks, or other problems. • Conduct routine and special inspections as required by regulations. • Inspect completed work to certify that maintenance meets standards and that vehicle is safe and ready for operation. • Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. • Maintain repair logs, documenting all preventive and corrective maintenance. • Modify systems, or components, following drawings, schematics, charts, engineering orders, and technical publications. • Inspect vehicles for wear or other defects and measure parts for wear, using precision instruments. • Obtain fuel and oil samples and check them for contamination. • Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with Hog Technologies specifications. • Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles. • May anticipate 10% travel . Vocational/Trade School mechanic training or certification preferred. • Minimum 3 years experience as a Small, Medium or Heavy Truck Mechanic • Experience working with Mechanical, Electrical, and Hydraulic systems preferred • Skilled in using power and air tools • Must own, and be comfortable using, typical shop tools to assemble a variety of components • Self-disciplined, highly organized, and goal-oriented. • Mechanical aptitude is necessary. • Ability to appropriately represent Hog Technologies to customers worldwide. • Ability to complete the assignment, using mechanical abilities and critical thinking skills, often in remote locations. • Comfortable working independently Must be able to speak, read and write English as part of the job. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and prioritize the workload of the Automotive technician team, assigning tasks and ensuring that all work is completed in a timely manner.
