The Diesel Technician will also be responsible for the diagnostics and repairs of our customers and dealerships vehicles. As the Diesel Technician your role will include but not be limited to the following: Requirements Diagnosis and Repair: Diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance on diesel engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, and other components of diesel vehicles. Inspection: Perform thorough inspections and testing of diesel systems to identify issues and ensure proper functioning. Troubleshooting: Use diagnostic tools and manuals to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems efficiently. Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks to ensure vehicles operate smoothly. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities using computerized systems or written logs. Must be able to operate a vehicle Know and understand the dealership computer systems Attend company and factory training Stay current with manufacturer warranty requirements Knows and understands the Snell Privacy and Information Security Policies and adhere to the requirements. Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with customers and co-workers. Ability to answer customers’ technical questions regarding vehicle problems, warranties, services, and repairs. Knowledge of automotive systems in general Ability to review service orders and inspect the vehicle for necessary repairs Knowledge of new models and product improvements, based on technical service bulletins, etc. Knowledge of warranty guidelines and ability to relate them to warranty service repair orders. Job Summary As a Truck Service Advisor (TSA), you will provide first-rate service to customers through your extensive knowledge of the products we sell and the services we provide. The TSA is primarily responsible for writing work orders, suggestive selling, and handling over-the-counter (OTC) transactions while ensuring that we are returning every traveler to the road better than they came!
