Here is a previously owned Hyalyn Pottery vase, number 866, in unglazed terra cotta. Fired terra cotta is porous but these were treated inside so they are not porous to water. Hyalyn Pottery was started by Leslie Moody in North Carolina during 1947. The vase stands 8.5" high and is 8.5" wide by 3.5" thick. The oval opening is 4.5" by 1.5". It weighs 2 pounds, 3 ounces. The vase shows some minor marks from normal use since it is unglazed but is not damaged or cracked. The inner edge of the opening is smooth without cracks or chips. Please check the photos carefully, they are part of the description. Local pick up preferred. Will package and ship if agreed upon, additional cost to do so is paid in advance, along with stated price.
