We are seeking an energetic and personable Server to join our pizza shop located on bustling Newbury St. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while working in a fast-paced, self-managed environment. You will utilize a toast handheld device to efficiently process orders, serve food, and ensure an enjoyable dining experience for our valued customers. Responsibilities: Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and engaging manner. Take customer orders accurately using the toast handheld device, ensuring special requests and dietary preferences are noted. Deliver food and beverages to customers' tables promptly and accurately. Provide recommendations on menu items, describing ingredients, flavors, and specials. Ensure tables are set up and cleaned promptly, maintaining a clean and organized work area. Answer customer inquiries, address concerns, and resolve any issues that may arise during the dining experience. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain efficient service. Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately using the toast handheld device. Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to enhance the overall dining experience. Collaborate with fellow team members to maintain a positive and cohesive work environment. Requirements: Previous experience as a server or in a customer service role is preferred but not required. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced, self-managed environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and team members. Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Physical stamina and the ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift moderately heavy items. Professional and presentable appearance to align with the high standards of our retail district location.
