Has an understanding of tax law basics and terminology, as well as a thorough understanding of congressional and regulatory procedures. 5. Edits for substance, style, and accuracy, conducts research as needed, and ensures proper style, according to established policies and procedures. 6. Responsible for long-range planning, including assessing needs for graphics and other resources to complete assignments. 7. Participates in company-sponsored conferences, roundtable discussions, etc. 8. Adheres to company style guide and established publication deadlines. 9. Supervises subordinate staff, including hiring, recommending raises, disciplinary actions, and termination. Requirements College degree in English, journalism, or related field. 10 years+ of experience in editing and reporting news stories, preferably for a professional audience.
