TAX MANAGER (Hybrid Option) We are a fast-growing Metro-Denver area CPA Firm seeking to hire a Tax Manager to help lead our tax practice division. Our firm is made up of professional, hard-working, fun- loving people and we are looking for someone similar to join our growth-oriented company! This is a hybrid position allowing (but not requiring) work from home with occasional days in the office. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: • Competitive Salary and Bonus Potential • Health and Dental Insurance Benefits • Traditional and Roth 401(k) Plans • Incentive Compensation Plan • Paid Time Off for Holidays, Vacation, Sick Days and Comp Time • Work Schedule Flexibility Outside of Tax Season • An Environment Conducive to a Work-Life Balance TYPICAL DUTIES: • Provide leadership and management to our clients and staff in the areas of federal and state taxation. • Preparation and/or review of moderate and complex business and personal income tax returns, including multi-state and client tax planning using Ultra Tax software. • Preparation and/or review of trust, estate and gift tax returns. • Provide leadership in areas of tax research and development and training of staff members. • Serve as a relationship manager for select clients of the firm. • Participate in business development efforts (with potential for future equity participation). • Review and/or maintain financial accounting records for client companies. This may include, but is not limited to preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, accounting for fixed assets and depreciation, and preparing work-papers. • Occasional review of payroll and sales tax filings. • Participate in consulting, special projects and additional assignments per supervisor’s direction. • Ensure adherence to Company philosophy and policy of delivering quality and professional tax and accounting services and dealing honestly and fairly with clients and company personnel. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE: Educational and experience requirements include: 4-5 years business/accounting degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in federal and multi-state income taxation or equivalent combinations of training and job experience. Advanced degree in taxation is a plus. Knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus. Thorough understanding of federal and multi-state tax laws and standard accounting procedures. Candidate should be entrepreneurial minded and have strong communication and leadership skills as well a willingness and desire to help others. CPA or EA designation in active status is required.
